the awesome gypsy mama provides a topic every friday morning. i have really been working on getting the blog post done in a timely manner regarding her prompt.
i am so off schedule that i totally forgot it was friday until just a few minutes ago!
here is the scoop:
around here we write for five minutes flat on fridays.
we write because we love words and the relief it is to just write them without worrying if they’re just right or not. so we take five minutes on friday and write like we used to run when we were kids.
on fridays we write with gusto, unselfconscious and flat out.
1. write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking
2. link back here and invite others to join in.
3. please visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments.
ok, are you ready? give your best five minutes on:
wow...this is quite a topical topic for our household lately!
we do like to spend as much time as we can together but lately...lately it's been kinda crazy!
take last week...kiroman left thursday morning, teenager and i left thursday evening...he got home on friday...we got home sunday night.
this week...teenager and i left friday morning...he will catch up with us saturday afternoon.
next week? kiroman leaves friday morning and comes home sunday night.
it's freaking crazy lately! seriously!
but here is what i know about being together:
it's not about quantity...it's all about quality.
i really mean that!
let me explain: you can spend hours upon hours and days upon days with someone but not really connect, ya know? not really spend time with them. just being in the same house, room, car or whatever doesn't mean a damn thing.
but you can spend one hour with someone and make it very meaningful.
it's called present time consciousness [ ptc ].
not many people truly understand what that means.
but we figured it out a long time ago in our house.
to make each moment matter.
in order for kiroman to have the kind of world class practice he has and be the kind of world class speaker he has become...it taken us all knowing and understanding and appreciating ptc.
i am grateful:
- for creating new relationships.
- for knowing when to let old relationships go
- to have the most awesome hubby in the whole wide world!! muah!!!!
- to be able to laugh
- to know people that can appreciate my sarcasm...seriously!
just breathing isn't living!
